Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon won first runner-up in the 2012 Miss Universe beauty pageant held at Planet Hollowood in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 20, Thursday morning (Manila time).Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, bagged the Diamond Nexus Crown this year, beating 88 gorgeous women from around the world.

Juan Manuel Marquez dropped him Manny Pacquiao with huge right hands and got the win. After the second right hand, Pacquiao was flat on his face, out cold from a brutal straight counter right at 2:59 of the sixth round.



Pacquiao outlanded Marquez 94/52 and won all but the third and final rounds. He scored a 10-8 round in the fifth when he dropped Marquez. Pacquiao's head movement seemed to confuse Marquez and allowed him to land a lot of left hands to the head. He recovered from being dropped in the third round to dominate the fourth, fifth and most of the sixth round. In fact, when the end came, Pacquiao was pressing forward, looking to finish a cornered Marquez when he ate the counter.

Bagyong Pablo Updates
The typhoon east of Southern Mindanao is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this evening and will be named Bagyong Pablo, state weather bureau PAGASA reported on Sunday.

At 6:00 p.m. today, PAGASA said Bagyong Pablo was spotted at 900 kilometers Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur with with maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 220 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 22 kph.

No public storm signal has been raised as Typhoon Pablo is still far to directly affect any part of the country.

Estimated rainfall amount is from 20 to 30 millimeteres per hour (heavy to intense) within the 700-km diameter of Bagyong Pablo
