Boy Abunda's Interview with Vhong Navarro :
Host-actor Vhong Navarro denied allegations that he raped a woman which provoked a group of men to attack him inside a condominium unit at The Fort in Taguig last January 22.
For the first time since the news broke on Friday, Navarro detailed what transpired on the night he was attacked.
Below is the transcript of Navarro’s full interview on “Buzz ng Bayan” which aired Sunday.

BA: Sino ang babaeng ito?
VN: Si Deniece Milet Cornejo. Sinundo niya ako sa lobby dahil sabi niya mahigpit. Niyaya niya ako umakyat, may dala akong white wine dahil sabi niya kasi ‘yun lang ang pwede niyang inumin.

VN: ‘Yung pulis, kaya lang kasama ‘yung Mike, may isa pang lalaki and mayroon pang isa. Kasama po nila itong mga sumama. Binaba nila ako sa kotse ko. Kumatok pa yung Mike tapos sabi, ‘O mag-ingat kayo.’
After noon, kinuha ni Mike ‘yung number ko. Nakuha din ni Cedric ‘yung number ko kasi para din sa transaction.
BA: Transaction dahil ang ibig sabihin ‘yung P1 million kailan mo ibibigay?
VN: January 23.
BA: Ang inyong agreement ay ibibigay ang?
VN: Ang pera ng January 23.
BA: May oras?
VN: Wala po, wala ding lugar kailangan ko lang i-deposit. May binigay silang bangko. Miss Philippines Bea Rose Santiago - 53rd Miss International

Miss Philippines Bea Rose Santiago took home the crown in the 53rd Miss International pageant, held at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hall in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday, December 17.

Miss International 2012 Ikumi Yoshimatsu of Japan crowned her successor, Bea Rose, who bested 66 other delegates from around the world.

Bea Rose impressed the judges during the Q&A portion where she said she wants to "sustain the spirit of sympathy and hope," when asked about what she would do if she wins the crown.

Before Bea left for Japan, she told the press that she is dedicating the competition to the survivors of typhoon Yolanda. "I'm dedicating my pageant for the Haiyan or Yolanda victims. I'm not going there just as Bea Santiago, but as Miss Philippines. If I win or if I make it, that would bring happiness to them and make them proud,” Bea previously said.

Miss Netherlands Nathelie Den Dekker was crowned first runner-up, while Miss New Zealand Casey Radley was declared second runner-up. Miss Colombia Lorena Hermida and Miss Hungary Brigitta Otvos were included in the Top 5.

This is the fifth time that the Philippines has won the Miss International title. Past winners include Precious Lara Quigaman, Gemma Cruz-Araneta, Melanie Marquez, and Aurora Pijuan.

Miss International beauty pageant aims to promote goodwill and cultural understanding globally.

The judges for the main show were Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler, Russian pop king Philipp Kirkorov, Chef Nobu, Ice skating gold medalist Tara Lipinski, Italo Fontana, model Anne V, Carol Alt and Farouk Shami.  US TV presenter Thomas Roberts and ex-Spice Girls Mel B hosted the pageant.

Miss Venezuela's winning answer to judge Steven Tyler's question "What is your biggest fear and how do you plan to overcome it?" is "For me while one may have a lot of fears but nonetheless this is nothing negative. I believe we should overcome all of our fears and this in turn would make us much stronger and mostly we can become stronger persons. As soon as we overcome our fears and we are sure of ourselves then we can face any challenge."

Ariella meanwhile, believes the solution to the lack of jobs among young people starting their careers around the world is education.
"For the people who have lack of jobs, I do believe that we people should invest in education and that is my primary advocacy because if we all know that everyone of us is educated and well aware of what we are doing, we can land into jobs and we could land our careers in the future. So education is a primary source and it's a ticket for a better future."

Controversial Brazilian model Daiana Menezes posed nude for men’s magazine UNO, the cover photo of which has gone viral online recently.

The magazine unveiled its 88th issue on Facebook last Monday. It referred to Menezes as the “Brazilipina” who has “bared her soul.” It is said to be her “sexiest pictorial ever.” No one will disagree, that’s for sure.

The Philippine cinema’s Comedy King has passed away at the Intensive Care Unit of Makati Medical Center while being treated for pneumonia. Dolphy, the Comedy King, has been confirmed dead, 15 days before his 84th birthday.

Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr., (July 25, 1928 – July 10, 2012) known by his screen name Dolphy, has passed away around 8:34 p.m. today, July 10, Tuesday, at Makati Medical Center as confirmed by his partner Zsa Zsa Padilla on ABS-CBN News. The Comedy King reportedly died due to multiple organ failure.

Dolphy was admitted at the Makati Medical Center on June 16, 2012, after complaining of shortness of breath. He was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). He was showing signs of recovery eight days later, but was hospitalized again because of recurring pneumonia.
Dolphy was widely regarded as the Philippines’ “King of Comedy” for his comedy prowess embodied by his long roster of works on stage, radio, television and movies.

In an interview with Yahoo! Philippines OMG! prior to the announcement, Sam said she is not expecting to top the FHM Philippines Sexiest Woman polls this year. Nonetheless, she’d be happy to receive the title again.

American Idol Season 11 has crowned its winner and that winner is ... Phillip Phillips. Not a huge shocker. He was never in the Bottom 2-3 all season long, so we suspect he's been the vote leader from the beginning. 

Indie artist Phillip Phillips won "American Idol" on Wednesday, becoming the fifth male singer in a row to take the title and a guaranteed recording contract.

The 21-year-old guitar player from Georgia, who brought an indie vibe to the top-rated TV contest, beat ballad singer Jessica Sanchez, 16, of California in the public vote.

"American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest said a world record 132 million votes were cast by phone, text and online for the two finalists.

The winner was announced at the end of a two-hour finale on Wednesday featuring performances by Rihanna, Neil Diamond, Reba McEntire as well as "Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler's band Aerosmith, which closed the show by going back to their hard rock roots with the 1976 classic "Walk This Way".

Randy Travis Arrested -Country singer Randy Travis was arrested in Sanger, Texas this morning for public intoxication ... after cops say he was boozing in front of a Baptist church.
Denton County sheriff's spokesman Tom Reedy says police in the town of Sanger arrested Travis early Monday after spotting a vehicle parked in front of a church and finding an open bottle of wine and Travis smelling of alcohol.

Reedy says Travis, whose hits include "Forever and Ever, Amen," was brought to the Denton County jail about 1:30 a.m. and released six hours later.

 Monique Amin Raped in Big Brother Brazil - Photos– Monique Amin photos and video from Big Brother Brasil have prompted a Daniel Echaniz investigation by police. Monique Amin in pictures and videos released online show the model allegedly asleep during the encounter. Amin has yet to comment to news about the matter; but she did speak about it during the telecast the next morning.

Monique Amin fotos had dominated Brazil news for days because of her appearance on Big Brother Brasil 12 (aka Big Brother Brazil season twelve). The show, by some standards is far more popular than its American counterpart. One hundred and fifty-four million people voted for last year’s Big Brother Brasil winner. The show has garnered an average eight million viewers, weekly.

So when viewers were watching last Sunday’s telecast of the reality show, many questioned what was going on between Daniel Echaniz and Amin. On Saturday night, members of the cast had been drinking. By evening, Monique Amin went to bed.


In video released online, Amin appears in bed. Unconfirmed news reports claim that Monique Amin was asleep in that bed as night vision cameras began to record her. Also unconfirmed reports claim that Amin had previously passed out from alcohol consumption.

In the photos, Monique Amin is under the sheets. Her face is in her pillow. She appears to be in a sleeping position. As the night vision camera rolled, Daniel is shown getting into the bed alongside Amin.

Daniel Echaniz is a 31 year old male model. Amin is a 23 year old student. From there, it remains in dispute what happened. Police are trying to determine if what was recorded on tape was non-consensual relations by Echaniz, or if any relations actually occurred. They are also trying to determine if Amin was unconscious, asleep, or awake

The next morning, Amin allegedly appears on camera. In the dairy room, when asked about last night, she reportedly doesn’t recall the encounter.

Police have now descended on Globo studios. Police have told Globo to halt the show (produced by Endemol) or kick Echaniz off the show. Echaniz was thereafter removed from the show. But the escandalo hasn’t ended there.


Police inspector Antonio Ricardo L. Nunes was dispatched to the Big Brother house. He would not detail to news what he found. But on Monday, Big Brother Brazil presenter Pedro Bial told news and viewers “We analyzed images that show a violation of the rules of the program. Following careful study, the program’s management found that the behavior of the participant … was gravely inadequate.”

Mr. Echaniz’s mother Maria Aparecida Echaniz claims her son was removed from the show only because of his skin color. Echaniz, who is mixed, “is the victim of racism” said his mother. “There have already been (such incidents on the show) and they didn’t have such consequences.”


Bial has also told news “Since Sunday morning, the board had been evaluating the behavior of Daniel, who is suspected of having infringed the rules of the programme. Big Brother examined his behavior without jumping to conclusions and with the utmost care. The images showed a breach of the rules of the programme.


“After careful evaluation, the direction of the programme found that the behavior of the contestant on the night of the party was seriously inadequate.”

Police are still investigating the matter. The Daily Mail claims that Amin was interviewed, initially, by police for three hours, photographed, and taken to a medical center for evaluation.

Big Brother brought in a new batch of six potential housemates – the sultry 3G’s into the “looban” for “PBB UnliNight” and the wacky Power Strangers into the industrial house for “PBB UnliDay.”
For their first task, the 3G’s composed of Pretty Miss Perfect, Sexy Single Mommy, and Independent Woman should charm their way into being official housemates.
To help them succeed, Kuya assigned Slater, the first housemate to be nominated for eviction, to convince his fellow male housemates to accept the 3G’s as official housemates and in exchange, choose one current female housemate to be evicted.
Will Slater finally succeed in this new challenge or back out and face forced eviction?
The “PBB UnliDay” housemates will also welcome this week the Power Strangers namely Astiging Kengkoy, Pilyong Rakitero, and Poging Petics. What will their special tasks be?
Meanwhile, four “PBB UnliDay” housemates faced punishment for violating some of the PBB house rules.
Seiichi was forced to communicate with his housemates using a puppet for failing to use his lapel microphone at one instance, while Pamu was made to strap herself onto a gurney due to oversleeping and ignoring three wake-up calls.
For using hand signals, Unad and Lordwin were required to wear two jackets conjoined back-to-back.
