The Turkey earthquake death toll rose to nearly 300 and 970 buildings has collapsed, with some videos of the aftermath available below.The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported it earlier as 7.3-magnitude and hit Turkey at 1:41:21 p.m. (local time) on Sunday, with a depth of 7.2 km (4.5 miles).

According to the latest update of CNN on Monday, October 24, 2011, Turkey Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin said that there are as many as 264 casualties due to the 7.2-magnitude earthquake.

According to reports, hundreds of people are still missing and more than a thousand others were injured. The quake which struck for around 25 seconds.On the other hand, around 1,300 people were reportedly injured and are now being treated in various hospitals and a total of 970 buildings has collapsed.

The Pakistan earthquake 2011 was reported as magnitude 7.4 by the U.S. Geological Survey. Several provinces in and around the earthquake felt the rumble, including border regions of Iran and Afghanistan.A powerful earthquake struck Pakistan early Wednesday morning, causing people to run from their homes reciting verses of the Koran. Strong tremors from the earthquake, which hit about 50 kilometers west of Dalbandin, could be felt as far away as India and the Gulf.

7.4 magnitude Pakistan earthquake 2011

At 1:23 a.m. local time, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake hit 34 miles west of Dalbandin, Pakistan. This region is on the border of Pakistan, next to Iran and Afghanistan. The earthquake epicenter itself is in the desert and was measured as only 6.3 miles deep - very shallow for a major earthquake. The Pacific Tsunami Center did register the earthquake but did not indicate that a tsunami had been started by the quake.
