Phil said they became a couple on May 27, 2012, a year and few months after he asked the award-winning actress out for a date through Twitter.
February 2011 - Phil asked Angel for a Valentine date, but the actress declined his invitation.
March 2011 - The football star revealed that he and Angel were already dating.
May 2011 - Phil met Angel’s family and friends.
July 2011 - Angel watched the Azkals’ World Cup qualifier match against Sri Lanka to support Phil.
November 2011 - Both publicly admitted that they are in love, but declined to say if they were already together.
December 2011 - At the Azkals vs LA Galaxy game, Phil wore his football shoes with Angel’s name embroidered on it.
January 2012 - Phil on his relationship with the actress said “you don’t need any evidence...you just feel it.”
March 2012 - Angel in an interview called Phil a “special someone.” She joked that Phil is still “too young to be a husband.”
May 27, 2012 - Angel gave Phil her sweetest “Yes.”
