Pacquiao releases official theme song

MANILA, Philippines -- Filipino champion Manny Pacquiao has released his official theme song as a boxing champ.

Singer Madonna Decena, who is being managed by Pacquiao, said the Filipino champ collaborated with the Filipino-Scottish rock band "Rag Rag" a.k.a. Nugroovz to do his official theme song titled "Fighting Pride." The song was recorded at a Palms Resort studio in Las Vegas last March and launched on the Internet last Tuesday.

"It was released September 14. Kasama namin si Manny na nag-record niyan. Actually dalawang times, isang Las Vegas at isang after fight pa ni Manny (with Joshua Clottey)/
Decena said she is very happy to be part of Pacquiao's newest song.

"Siyempre very proud naman ako na kasama din ako sa projects kasi siyempre maganda yong kanta at official theme song. It's always good to be part of anything with Manny. Maraming pwede pero ako ang napili, very happy," she said.

The song starts with Pacquiao saying: "Deliver me from this fight, to honor You and my country."

Pacquio's "Fighting Pride" is produced by Authentik Artists and available only via download.

"Downloadable muna siya but if there's someone na gustong i-produce ito para naman maging available sa CD open kami doon," Decena ended.
