David Archuleta arrives in Manila

Archuleta first visited the country in 2009 with “American Idol Season 7” winner, David Cook for their first concert at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.

The “American Idol Season 7” runner-up came back in the Philippines last November when he promoted his latest album “The Other Side of Down.”

Last night, Archuleta performed for the Ponds Teen Concert in Jakarta, Indonesia. And from Jakarta he arrives in Manila this morning to have his meet and greet sessions with fans at SM Megamall earlier tonight..

Azkals Rape Video Scandal

Rumors say four players of the Philippine Football Team, more populary known as Azkals, were involved in a sex video scandal.
The alleged Azkals Rape Scandal started as a blind item on a fashion blog. According to the blind item, three athletes got drunk one night and took home a random girl from a bar. While the three were having some "hot fun" with the girl, one of them said to have recorded a video of the act. The next morning, the girl found out about the video but the athletes denied it and threw the girl outside the house. A recent update of the article is saying that the girl already filed rape charges against the athletes. Although not named, people are saying that the clues point out to three members of the national football team, The Azkals.

Mumbai Bombings July 2011 - Killed 21 People

Three coordinated bombings tore through the heart of India's busy financial capital during rush hour Wednesday, killing 21 people and wounding 141 in the worst terrorist attack in the country since the 2008 Mumbai siege.
Bloody bodies were strewn in the dirt of Mumbai's crowded neighborhoods and markets. Doors were ripped off storefronts, motorcycles were charred and a bus stop was shredded. After the blasts in three separate neighborhoods.

The bombings came just months after peace talks resumed between India and Pakistan, which New Delhi has blamed for past attacks.

The attackers used improvised explosive devices in the attack, hidden in an umbrella in the Jhaveri Bazaar jewelry market and kept in a car in the business district of Opera House.
The third blast in Dadar area was caused by an explosive device concealed in an electric meter at a bus stop.

6.2 Magnitude Earthquake in Negros Occidental

Earthquake in Negros Occidental : A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit Sipalay Negros Occidental at 4:47 a.m Tuesday with two aftershocks of 5.7 and 5.5 magnitude located at 112 km S 70° W of Dumaguete City, Negros Occidental based on PHIVOLCS Earthquake Intensity scale.
Intensity 5 earthquake was felt in Sipalay City; Intensity IV in Oton, Iloilo, Dumaguete City, and the towns of Binalbagan, Hinigaran in Negros Occidental and Sibulan, Negros Oriental; Intensity 3 in San Jose in Antique, Dapitan City in Zamboanga del Norte, Talisay City in Cebu; Intensity 2 in Cagayan de Oro City, Dipolog City and La Carlotta City, Negros Occidental; and Intensity 1 in La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
PHIVOLCS Deputy Director Dr. Bartolome Bautista said there have been no reports of injuries or major damage as said earthquake had struck off at safer depth.
No tsunami warnings have been issued in the aftermath.
At 4:58 of the afternoon, on the other hand, a 5.2-magnitude earthquake was again felt in Negros Occidental.

Prince Albert marries Charlene Wittstock :


The long-awaited nuptials are the first of a ruling prince in Monaco since the prince's father, Prince Rainier III, married the Hollywood star Grace Kelly in 1956, and comes two months after Britain's wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton.

Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock have officially wed in a civil ceremony inside the Royal Palace of Monaco today.The newlyweds have been a couple since 2006. Charlene is a former Olympic swimming champion from South Africa and the two met in Monaco in 2000 when she travelled to the region for a swimming competition.
Today’s matrimony happens amid a great deal of controversy surrounding allegations of infidelity in the relationship.
Rumours that Prince Albert fathered up to three children with three different women were prevalent early in the week. French website L’express claimed on Thursday that upon learning about the third, Charlene attempted to flee the wedding and escape to South Africa.
The Royal Palace of Monaco thoroughly denied these claims.

Philippine Azkals Defeat Sri Lanka - Watch Replay Video


The Philippine Azkals made history by becoming the first Philippine team to advance to the second round of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Filipinos defeated Sri Lanka, 4-0, (5-1 on aggregate) much to the delight of thousands of local football fans who endured the rain just to witness the match at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The second and controversial goal came from Phil Younghusband in the 42nd minute. The assistant referee blew his whistle and gave Younghusband a foul during his goal for supposedly pushing a Sri Lankan player. But, the head referee officially counted the goal, giving the Azkals a 2-0 lead and an aggregate score of 3-1 at the end of the first half.


Angel Guirado raised the score to 3-0 in the second half and ultimately crushed the hopes of the smaller boys of Sri Lanka.
Phil Younghusband scored on the penalty shot after Fil-German midfielder Stephan Schrock was brought down in the penalty area by a Sri Lankan defender.
Azkals defeated Sri Lanka, final score 4-0, (5-1 on aggregate).
 Philippines will now advance to the second round of 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers for the first time. Azkals will play against Kuwait on July 23 and 28.
