Malacañang confirmed that Janet Napoles has surrendered after President Benigno Aquino III had put up a P10 million bounty for her arrest.
In an official statement, presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said Napoles surrendered to President Aquino at 9:37 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013.
Aquino has turned the businesswoman over to the custody of interior and local government secretary Mar Roxas and Philippine National Police director-general Alan Purisima “for processing and booking.”
