Tropical Depression Falcon ( Bagyong Falcon ) Updates : PAGASA‘s latest weather update to the said tropical depression “Falcon” is located at 670 km East of Borongan, Easter Samar with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center.

It is moving west northwest at 19 kph and it is expected to be 440 kms East of Virac, Catanduanes by Wednesday morning, 420 km East Northeast of Casiguran, Aurora by Thursday morning, and 350 km East Basco, Batanes by Friday morning.

No signal warnings have been raised so far, according to PAGASA.

Typhoon Megi (Bagyong Juan) Updates - Tropical storm "Megi" has intensified into a typhoon as it continues its path towards the Cagayan Valley region in northern Philippines.

The typhoon will be codenamed "Juan" once it enters Philippine territory Friday night, according to Nathaniel Servando, deputy director for research and development of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Megi, which was spotted 1,200 kilometers east of Southern Luzon, is considered by Servando as "one of the stronger typhoons in the country this year."

As of 2 p.m., it packed maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is moving west-northwest at 20 kph.

General public and local disaster risk reduction managers - are advised to prepare and take precautionary measures.

-Fishermen - advised not to venture over the eastern and northern coasts of Luzon.

-Farmers - advised to monitor weather updates.

-Travelers - advised not to travel starting on sunday morning, particularly in landslide prone areas of Northern and --Eastern Luzon.

Typhoon Conson ripped through the Philippines' main island on Wednesday, leaving at least three people dead, sweeping shanties into the sea and leaving a trail of wreckage in Manila.
Electricity was knocked out throughout the main island of Luzon, including the country's capital where fallen tree branches and other debris littered the streets.
However the weather service failed to mention that the disturbance had a wide radius of 300 kilometres (185 miles), meaning that although the eye of the typhoon passed north of Manila, the city still suffered from fierce winds.
Aquino raps Philippine typhoon forecasters : "All the agencies have adequately met their responsibilities at this point in time but your information is sorely lacking. We have had this problem for quite a long time," Aquino said."

Typhoon Conson, packing maximum gusts of 120 kilometres (74 miles) an hour, hit the eastern side of Luzon late Tuesday and crossed the island before exiting before dawn Wednesday, heading west into the South China Sea at 22 kilometres an hour.

Typhoon Pepeng - Though Officials in The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services ( PAG ASA ) said that Typhoon Pepeng is slowing down, it is still a strong typhoon having the winds of 175 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 210 kph. Instead of Aurora-Isabela, Typhoon Pepeng is expected to make a landful in Northern Cagayan.

Storm Signal No. 3 remains hoisted over Catanduanes while Signal No. 2 is hoisted over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quirino, Northern Quezon, Polilio Islands, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur. Thousands evacuated ahead of Philippine storm " Parma " . The first storm less than a week ago killed at least 277 people in and around Manila, but soldiers and civilian emergency teams on the main island of Luzon are on alert again.



Typhoon Parma is already packing winds of 175 kilometres per hour and gathering strength. Forecasters fear the winds could be as high as 200 kilometres per hour by the time it hits land. Parma was forecast to hit the east coast on Saturday, packing sustained winds of up to 120 mph (195 kph) and gusts up to 140 mph (230 kph) — enough destructive power for officials to fear it may develop into a "super-typhoon"
