Feast of Black Nazarene 2011 - Procession Route - The feast of the Black Nazarene on January 9 is considered one of the most spectacular religious events that take place in the Philippine history.Every year thousands of devotees from all walks of life come to the district of Quiapo to take part in the procession as a way of strengthening their faith or fulfilling their “panata” (vow) to Lord.


The Feast of Black Nazarene 2011 :



FESTIVITIES leading to the celebration of the feast of the Black Nazarene on Sunday, January 9, will start today with the kissing of the feet of an image of the ebony Jesus Christ at Quirino Grandstand of Manila’s Rizal Park (Luneta) at 1 p.m., followed by a band parade at 3:30 p.m., a Mass and healing service at 5 p.m. and a vigil from 8 p.m. up to 12 a.m. of Sunday.
On Sunday, the Holy Hour begins at 4 a.m., the Holy Mass at 6 a.m. and the procession of the image of the Black Nazarene at 8 a.m. from Luneta to Manila’s Quiapo district, the center of the feast.
The Black Nazarene procession route: Luneta, Katigbak Drive through Padre Burgos Street, Taft Avenue through McArthur Bridge, Palanca Street through and under Quezon Bridge, Quezon Boulevard, Arlegui Street, Fraternal Street, Vergara Street, Duque de Alba Street, Castillejos Street, Farnecio Street, Arlegui Street, Nepomuceno Street, Aguila Street, Carcer Street, Hidalgo Street through Plaza del Carmen, Bilibid Viejo Street through Puyat Street, Guzman Street, Hidalgo Street, Barbosa Street, Globo de Oro Street through and under Quezon Bridge, Palanca Street, Villalobos Street through Plaza Miranda and Quiapo Church.
