Underground Tunnel Discovered - Makati City - Workers from the Manila Water conducting rehabilitation work in Makati City were surprised to discover a tunnel wide enough to fit several dump trucks beneath EDSA. Mark Adrian A water concessionaire conducting rehabilitation work in Makati City stumbled upon what appeared to be a man-made underground tunnel.

The crew of Manila Water found the tunnel during digging operations at the Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA)-Guadalupe area.

The crew members notified the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) about their findings.

The initial information showed that the tunnel was about 3.5 meters below street level.

The MMDA had advised Manila Water to suspend its operations for the moment because of the said Underground Tunnel Discovered.
