Sag Awards 2010 Winners

Last night the winners of 16th annual SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards were named honoring achievement in the previous year’s television and film. Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds (see our review) and NBC’s 30 Rock led the way for their respective mediums, each taking home two trophies. Jeff Bridges continued his successful award season (for Crazy Heart), taking home the “Outstanding Performance By a Male Actor In a Lead Role” honors, mirroring his win at the 2010 Golden Globes earlier in the week. The same could be said for Christopher Waltz who now has both trophies in recognition of the the best supporting male performance (for his role in Inglourious Basterds

In fact, we are seeing quite a few trends with the Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards results with now familiar names of the early 2010 award season in Sandra Bullock, Drew Barrymore (for HBO’s Grey Gardens), Kevin Bacon (Taking Chance), Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife) and Mo’Nique (Precious) all having multiple wins on the circuit.
