The National Weather Service in the San Francisco Bay Area has issued a tornado warning for parts of Monterey, Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties.
National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado moving northeast at 35 mph. This storm may produce quarter size hail ,the warning was issued at about 2 p.m. and expired at 2:45 p.m. with no sighting of a tornado.Weather officials said a thunderstorm formed that was capable of producing a tornado.
