The bombshell is just now starting to sink in. And now there are images of the giant rock hat Comrie bought for his future bride. Let’s just say he’s going to be playing hockey until his knees are gravy.
Hilary Duff shows off her huge engagement sparkler at the Four Seasons Hotel in Maui, Hawaii on Friday (February 19).
The 22-year-old actress got engaged last week while on vacation with the love of her life, hockey player Mike Comrie. He got down on one knee and popped the question to Hilary on the balcony on their hotel.
While the ring looks like a miniature planet on her finger, it didn't come cheap. E! News is reporting that Comrie dished out nearly $1 million US for the 14-karat, Radiant-cut sparkler in Las Vegas.
It isn't the couple's only splurge. According to E! News, they are in the process of purchasing a $10 US million home in Beverly Hills.
Comrie previously bought Duff a $100,000 US Mercedes for her 20th birthday. He must get a nice paycheque from the Oilers -- although being an heir to The Brick empire probably helps, too!
