Samsung W960 is expected to launch by Q2 2010 in Korea only.
Admittedly, given the name we scarcely need explain the special abilities of the W960, but in case you hadn’t guessed, it’s the world’s first 3D-toting handset - sans the need for silly glasses.
The display itself is a 3.2-inch capacitive AMOLED with a 240x400 WQVGA resolution and the 3D option can be switched on and off with the press of a dedicated button.
Other features of the AMOLED 3D are more run-of-the-mill - HSPA connectivity, Bluetooth, microSD support and the Samsung TouchWiz 2.0 custom UI.
The camera is a little bit lacklustre at just 3.2-megapixels, but then no other handset currently offers the option of proper 3D visuals, so we’ll forgive it this time around.
