Moscow subway explosion: France condemns Russian subway bombings. French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner on Monday strongly condemned the two bombings that took place earlier in the Moscow subway, killing at least 34 people and wounding scores of others. "France condemns with the greatest firmness these terrorist attacks and assures Russia of its total solidarity in this tragic trial," Kouchner said in a personal statement.

"We want everything to be done so that the perpetrators of such barbarous acts are arrested and brought before justice to answer for their acts," the French Minister said.

He added that he would personally give a message of support to his Russia counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, when they meet at the G8 Foreign Ministers gathering in Canada later today.
