Eddie Fatu Death | Umaga Death | WWE Samoan Bulldozer

"These speculations were made after the latter's wife, yesterday, found him lying unconscious after he fell asleep whilst he was watching television. Umaga, who has a history of drug addiction (causing his release from WWE last June for breaking its policies and refusing to go to rehab), was rushed to a hospital in Houston since he was found unconscious, not breathing and had blood coming out of his nose and mouth. His condition thus is considered as "life threatening, extremely serious and grave" according to a long-time friend of his. It is also reported that he is being kept alive with the aid of life support awaiting for his family and friends who were told to get there as soon as they could. What can be said for sure is that without a miraculous recovery, it is just a matter of time.

Despite this, nothing concrete about this news has been issued. A statement has notified that Umaga was found "unconscious" by his wife at their home several hours later, with blood pouring from his nose. Today it has been speculated that he died in hospital but nothing official was reported.

UPDATE: In fact, WWE's statement did arrive and now, on wwe.com one can find the following: "WWE would like to express its deepest condolences to Mr. Fatu’s family, friends and fans on his tragic passing. Mr. Fatu was under contract with WWE at various time periods and most recently performed under the name "Umaga." Mr. Fatu's contract was terminated on June 11, 2009."

Update #2: It is reported that Fatu suffered a serious heart attack and ended up in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Houston where he was put on life support systems. Later, it was decided that he should be off these machines. Fatu was presumed dead around 6:00 PM EST, after suffering a second heart attack; dying at the age of 36 years old. ""
