Jasper Schuringa, a director from Amsterdam, has been identified as the passenger who helped subdue an alleged terrorist as he tried to detonate explosives on board Northwest Airlines flight 253. Schuringa spoke to CNN, telling these story of how he heard a sound like a firecracker when they were about to land, seeing smoke in the terrorist’s legs.
“I pulled the object from him and tried to extinguish the fire with my hands and threw it away,”
Following this, Schuringa stripped Mudallad off his clothes and with the help of a crew member they handcuffed Mudallad.
He described Abdulmutallab as "was staring into nothing" following the thwarted attempt.
