Mike Leach Fired

I have posted recently that Mike Leach has been suspended, but now in google trends the hottest most search right now that top the google trends hottrends page is mike leach fired. So has Mike Leach been fired?

"Terminated with cause effective immediately," according to the school's letter, which was handed to Leach's attorney just before today's hearing on the suspension.

For the record: Craig James didn't get Mike Leach fired. Neither did his son or ESPN or anyone else on the periphery of Texas Tech's football program. A long, simmering history of events led to Leach's dismissal, much of it the eccentric coach's fault.

And Tech officials were still wrong to dismiss him Wednesday.

They were right to suspend him from the Alamo Bowl. He brazenly mishandled a situation with an injured player, Adam James, which no coach should do. But his actions weren't serious enough to result in his dismissal, at least on their own merits.

Leach’s attorney said he planned to file a lawsuit on Leach’s behalf against the school soon as the dismissal was “without merit.”
