Shutter Island Ending - Movie Review

Shutter Island, the forth film to team Leonardo DiCaprio with legendary director Martin Scorsese, hit theaters today.
Shutter Islandis a horror movie for years to come. While the type may be up for debate, there is no doubt that in a Martin Scorsese film, is haunted by internal demons with guilt and violence that characterized much of his work. Shutter Island may not go down as one of the best films of Scorsese, but wearing Alfred Hitchcock on the sleeves and cynicism and painful journey into madness.
It’s not a film about perfect, and largely due to the need to end this is not too much to ask of the viewer and may feel very familiar. But refreshing to see a Scorsese methods of jump, and depth of the horror with it’s only toyed with before in films such as highlighting the Dead. Horror movies rarely do this well, and Shutter Island is one that will leave you trembling beyond the initial shocks and surprises.
