This was not Neil Young’s only performance of the night, as he also joined Dave Matthews to cover Hank Williams’ “Alone and Forsaken” for the “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon (see the Justin Timberlake/Matt Morris Performance of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” I posted earlier from that event). O’Brien’s immediate future is as of yet unknown, but he doesn’t exactly have to worry about the cable bill, garnering a 45-million-dollar buyout (with some thirteen of that going to his staff)–I don’t think we have to worry about him.
Jay Leno is expected to be back on the Tonight Show on March 1st at a time slot of 11:35 p.m.-12:35 a.m, and followed by the only late night show that I watch more than once a week, Jimmy Fallon. The switch was made due to Conan’s lack of desire to move to later time slot with Leno’s current show cutting into the first half of his original hour. UPDATE! You can now also check out Conan’s farewell speech!
