Pernell Roberts Death

Actor Pernell Roberts died on Sunday, January 24 of cancer. He was 81 years old.
Roberts appeared on Broadway on numerous occasions, including productions of The Lovers, The Taming of the Shrew, The Duchess of Malfi, and Captain Brassbound's Convention. He received a Drama Desk Award in 1956 for playing the title role of an Off-Broadway production of Macbeth.
Roberts was best known for his work in television, notably playing the role of Adam Cartwright on Bonanza and the title role in Trapper John M.D., for which he received an Emmy Award nomination.
